Center rot Spalted Sycamore
This piece was salvaged from a stack of wood destined to be burned. The loose rot has been removed and cleaned out. This Sycamore piece has all coloration that goes along with the stages of decay. The coloration around the rot and the edge spalting makes a beautiful statement. Sycamore is a lighter weight wood and this would make an excellent side table, coffee table, or wall art. The last pic is prior to finishing. The dimensions are ( 42 5/8 x 20 1/2 to 10 3/4 x 3 1/16 ).
