Ambrosia Maple Large, Round Table
This is a gorgeous round slice of Ambrosia Maple from Illinois. The round sits on 4 legs and is a large piece at almost 30 inches diameter and nearly 3.5 inches thick. There is a natural split that occurred during the drying process. The wood is completely dry and the split has been stopped with a 3/8 inch hole drilled and hardwood dowel glued in at terminus of the split. This table has 4 coats of urethane foe a long lasting finish. The legs are hand crafted from salvage old growth Douglas Fir studs circa 1930’s home in Memphis , TN and still have the lath nail staining. They also have adjustable padded feet. This will make either a great side table or coffee table. As with all of my tables, they are strong enough to handle much weight, but they are not designed for sitting or standing.
