Spalted Maple Side Table with Red Fungal Stains

$285.00

Another Spalted Maple ‘round’ that is stunning with unsurpassed natural coloration. The top of this table displays the fungal spalting that occurs to wood over time as it begins the process of decay. This is a reclaimed piece that has so much character with the greys, the red fungal streaks and signs of the natural aging process including the small gaps on the top. It is sealed with 3 coats of poly-urethane for lasting beauty and durability. This table has legs salvaged from circa 1940’s home that I performed renovations on in Memphis, TN. and displays the lathing nail holes and cutout for wiring on one of the legs. This particular table has been sealed with 4 coats of poly-urethane for protection and long lasting beauty. As with most of my side tables, these are not stools or seats and may not be suitable for such use, especially 3 leg tables.
