Owl-Face, Spalted Maple Side Table

$387.00

This is a gorgeous small slab of reclaimed Spalted Maple. The grain is stunning, replete with black and grey streaks and 2 knothole slit that have the appearance of an owls face. The top of this table displays the fungal spalting that occurs to wood over time as it begins the process of decay. One of a kind, this also has 3 tapered legs that were reclaimed from old studs from circa 1930’s home tear-out. The legs retain the thickness of framing timber from that era and color that comes through the aging process. This particular table has been sealed with 3 coats of poly-urethane for protection and long lasting beauty. These are side tables and are not suited for use as benches. As with most of my side tables, these are not stools or seats and may not be suitable for such use, especially 3 leg tables.
